"You don't go into a 20 week scan for you second born child with anything but an expectation of good news. The moment that my doctor told me that my unborn son had a gap in its face, and was missing some of his gum & lip, I knew my life would never be the same."
I became the driving force of Cleft Connect Australia with the view to helping other cleft affected families.
"When I watched my daughter and son-in-law going through the birth of their son who had a cleft lip & palate, and the trials and tribulations that followed, I knew something had to be done to help other families."
My role within CCA is to help raise funds for the charity and for the hands that we hold, and to boost awareness.
